An incredibly luscious and rich piece of indie pop, Marcus Quirion is at his most evocative and opulent on ‘Filet dèsert’. The song interplays between functioning as an autobiographical piece in and of itself as well as offering a mirror for the listener to bounce off of. The entire sonic quality of the production feels like it combines and shines off the polished style but also maintains a certain grittiness and edge to it that keeps you engaged on the groove. It’s French pop that’s powerful, over the top, and has you feeling a whirlwind of emotions all at once. A true flourish of an indie pop bounce that showcases a French artist at the helm of their talents on the way of breaking into more mainstreams audiences.
