Unhinged, brutal, and wholly abrasive at times, John Carcer’s darkness is on full throttle on this heavy and hard-hitting shoegaze piece. It’s grungy and metallic, fully equipped with an equally absurdist and at times downright disturbing video alongside. But deep down, there’s an emotional core that’s perhaps quite relatable through it all. The song is about two friends fighting over the same woman they are both in love with, eventually realising its better to be friends than fight over and lose that friendship.
It’s a powerful and pounding piece of dark rock music, a hard and harsh grunge shoegaze anthem that drills you down and throws you to the ground.
