A uniquely soothing yet keenly memorable piece of classical instrumental work, Richard Green opens “The Circle Closes” with one of the most innately pleasing pieces I’ve heard. It’s just able to exude this sense of imagination and wonder in you through nothing but the magic of its piano and string work. There’s an image that you can paint in your own mind through this work that the English producer songwriter is able to paint on his canvas — one that’s wildly explorative and opens up doors in your own mind. Rousing, stirring, and altogether illumating, “Wrinkles” is a perfect opener to this project.
