A record that is energetic to a fault, a powerful surge of high octane instrumentation and crashing arrangement that marries the moody atmosphere with electrical synergy. Abandon the Fall bring out the energy of hard rock from the 2000s, absolutely smashing the stratosphere of hard rock to create a piece of pounding and engaging instrumental driven hard rock that has you harkening back to the powerful angsty sounds that many of us grew up on. It has shades of Deftones, Linkin Park, and many more embedded within.
Exhale doesn’t really sound like a song from 2021, and I love it for that. It’s unapologetic about its roots, wearing its influences proudly on its sleeve. The emotion in the chorus, driven by a pained angst, is amplified with the thrashing hard rock effects that occur all around of it. An absolute belter of a tune, trapped in a different age.
