A self described ‘nice bass track’, NBT is a powerhouse of an electronic tune that contrasts its style and tone in its verses and choruses with almost diametric opposition. On the redux version, Simulated Youth has taken the song’s power up a notch, delivering much more powerful and almost triumphant sounding anthem of jubilance. Salvadoran singer Camoragi delivers a scintillating vocals performance over the dark and pulsating industrial beat. The voice is almost meshed, delivered from the behind as an ominous almost creeping chant during the verse. But as the song hits the choruses, the dark electronic gives way to more liberating synths that shimmer with hopeful energy.
The Detroit based producer has a unique spin to his electronic work, pulling a whole host of different genres and elements together to craft even each individual song with so much happening in a singular crowded track. NBT is a trance inducing track, the kind that feels nigh hypnotic to listen to once it starts. It leaves you transfixed, obsessed, and in complete surrender to Simulated Youth’s frenetic and eccentric variations in production.
