Inherently sorrowful, By Your Bed is an achingly heavy handed folk tune from Arne Floyd. Not offering anything too intricate or complex lyrically, the song finds its power through its expression. Co-produced by prince of Power Power, David Myhr, who also provides backing vocals in style of the Abbey Road-album and a heart-breaking slide guitar. Written from the perspective of sitting next to a beloved person’s final moments, you can feel the same sense of loss and longing that Arne so poignantly evokes. The acoustic serves as a mosaic within which his voice shines through amidst the pain of it all.
