Geena Gangi’s first release as a solo artist is a triumphant record. The prolific singer and song writer from Boston is so easily able to pin such catchy melodies and addictive tunes on ‘The Nice Guy’. It’s bright, summery, and the perfect type of tune to be bumping in your car as you drive along on a warm afternoon. The light-hearted, slightly tongue in cheek and sassy approach she takes to describe her own low points makes for the entire tune to be a rather empowering and more so just fun tune to sing along to. It’ll have you look back at a bad moment and not come out of that reminiscing with thoughts of feeling down in the dumps but just refreshed and cheery instead.
A pick me up that you might need delivered with marvellous melodic sensibility.
