There’s an undeniable influence that Breon S.Y.N.D.E.L draws from modern trap stars on B4. The hedonistic descent into this Brooklyn based artist’s world is a welcome experience for any fan of modern autotuned driven hip-hop. Loaded with a flow and a flurry of ad-libs very reminiscent of a Travis Scott record, he takes you down deeply personal and vulnerable experiences through this record. The instrumentation and production arrangement throughout this record is fairly minimal, offering a very relaxed and laidback tone that allows his lyricism and vocal toning to really play front and centre on this record.
Opening up about feelings of love and attraction, Breon invites the listener into his ‘kingdom of hearts’. Tracks like Mr. Bright Eyes has him perhaps at his sonic best, simply conjuring addictive flows one after the other with effortless ease. There’s rarely a sequence on the track where you feel he’s sticking or repeating a singular style or flow. He’s constantly changing up the flow, easily regaling his stories as you float in the atmospheric production. On ‘Taurus’, he brings out a distinctive Migos flow, with that signature up down jump in his bars.
Constantly drawing from those that came before him but putting his own spin on the style and content in his delivery, Breon’s style of hip-hop is bound to find fans in most modern rap enthusiasts. His autotune driven delivery and Migos inspired flow combines dark and dreary beats with moody melodies that leave you intoxicated.
