Every now and then you come across something so distinctively unique, so wonderfully expressive, and so crafty and organic that its bound to perk your ears. Patchwork Guilt’s delectably hazy and woozy tune, ‘Dance Class’. There’s a bit of Talking Heads and Tame Impala influence amidst it all, but Patchwork Guilt’s style comes out resplendently as something that’s amazingly its own. The song just inspires you to unwind, easily just having you almost decompress and enter a state of flow that surrenders your anxieties to complete and unrestricted ignorant bliss. It has confidence in droves, but not in an aggressive or abrasive way whatsoever. Rather, Dance Class is a comforting sense of upliftment that finds its own voice and poignance amongst the blurry and mesmerising indie pop blend it’s so carefully pieced together.
