From Nashville based progressive rockers, ‘ I Changed Today’ bring something refreshing to a city who are typically identified and discerned by a particular style of Americana. ‘I Changed Today’ feels much more in line with the funkier rhythms and grooves of the 70s. The absolutely electrifying piece from these veteran musicians just has such an effortless swagger and suaveness to it. Accompanied by a playful video that has each member just grooving to their rhythms, you can’t but help but join in their party. The riffs are absolutely scintillating, harkening me back to some of the early Jethro Tull riffs I grew upon.
The final solo around the three minute mark is an absolutely electrifying section, and as that final chorus harmony starts to grow, you just want to jump in and sing alongside this irresistibly cool rock and roll anthem.
