Bringing to life some of the most eccentric, unhinged, and mesmerising flurry of synths from the word go itself, Novozero enter you into ‘I See’ with such an over the top flourish of sonic overloads that you’re left entirely hypnotised by its madness and magic. This Norwegian art rock group are huge fans of arrangements of scale, epic in stature and grandiose in sound, but differentiated in style and structure. Opting for these harder, bouncy basslines that are upholstered by fuzzy and pulsating synths that all get drenched in reverb, they create this uniquely maximalist and riveting soundscape that completely envelopes you. Uniquely, the lead guitar doesn’t really exist in their work, thereby creating a very new and differentiated piece of rock and roll.
It’s rousing, loud, and powerful in every which way. ‘I See’ is magical in stature and riveting in its sheer scale.
