Bill Diver’s Passionproject t is an experimental multi-media endeavour that really pushes the boundaries of what it means to be a garage artist today. Combining elements from a plethora of other genres and a dastardly sensibility towards what seems to be contemporary, ‘Linklater’ is a lovably weird piece that has a quirkiness that keeps you hooked from back to front. The rather self reflective piece takes a rather sardonic approach towards modern activism, particularly the naivety of young generations who stand against things that they themselves invariably end up contributing to.
It’s undoubtedly different, a kind of indie rock lackadaisical energy in the vocals but a truly vivid resplendence in the arrangement that’s long since been missing. Effortlessly cool, without a doubt.
