bloodyarvo have a very distinct approach to their brand of indie pop. There’s a playfulness to their sound, a rather light-hearted feeling that they’re able to exude that also has tons of grooves and funk loaded within. But, perhaps what makes them especially distinct, is their ability to infuse a level of psychedelic atmosphere to their tracks. On ‘Feel My Heart Sleeps’, you find yourself on one end drawn in for the chirpiness of the sound but then hooked to the overarching atmospheric and hazy production environment that they’re able to synthesize.
‘Feel My Heart Sleeps’ represents a shout for attention and cry for help as you’re fixed in a cycle that seems to be tearing you down. Written and recorded during the months of lockdown, it’s able to carry itself with style while also being touchingly empathic.
