Caezar’s lackadaisical and laidback acoustic strumming on ‘Forgot About It’ is the perfect way to kickstart your Sunday morning. The London based indie artist and song-writer has a distinctive voice that I can best draw comparisons to King Krule to. But on his latest single, he chooses to opt for a minimal, almost entirely bare bones structure to make it that much more intimate and endearing a listen. Close to the song’s midway point, as he sings from Paris to Venice, the energy suddenly jumps up ten notches as the arrangement starts to flesh itself out with much more vigour and energy before lying back for a reprieve.
There’s so much happening on this song, it’s resoundingly unique composition and endearing vocal performance just makes for an all around experiential indie rock ride that you’d be delighted to experience.
