A rather sombre piece of pop and hip-hop, Carlo Errin’s ‘honeymoon.’ heavily leans into autotuned vocals and acoustic driven beats to craft a late night sad boy tune. The sedative piece of hip-hop is sullen and soothing at the same time. Delving into failed relationships and the pains that come with falling in love and collapsing out of it, it’s keenly emotional while also being just an all around pleasure to listen to on a late night drive or moment of introspection. Errin discusses what it feels like to be in love and forced to accept that your partner is moving on.
A sensual piece of modern trap that works for its mood and atmosphere, honeymoon. is markedly different from Errin’s normal work. More morose and dark, it’s change of space from an artist who’s continuing to explore.
