London based indie outfit Cascade have only risen in popularity, talent, and quality since their inception little over five years ago. With a decent following to reckon with and a catalogue of singles and live shows to match, they release the ever so impressive and powerful ‘Another Day’ this Friday. The anthemic britpop esque single has you singing at the top of your lungs, banging your head to the riff, and just wishing you were in front of them as they delivered this immersive and crowd pleasing banger live. But what makes it so reminiscent of the Britpop groups of old is that feeling behind each note, that emotional charge behind the vocals, and that sheer unadulterated delivery behind that crashing percussive banging of the drums.
‘Another Day’ is a juggernaut of a track, standing at close to six minutes in length. But, when you hear it, you only find yourself wondering why it closed out so early. It has you so easily immersed in its energy, finding yourself so hopelessly lost in the sheer exuberant optimism and positivity of it all. In these rather gloomy and emo rock dominant days, sometimes all we need is stadium level rock music that yearns for better days and celebration.
