Clare Easdown’s latest release is an experimental exploration and plea for help in the age of climate change. That palpable anxiety we all carry with us, fully aware of the severity of climate change can be an existential crisis every waking minute. The track’s composition incorporates a thoroughly experimental approach to its arrangement. Utilising stripped vocals from Grime’s track “Violence”, while altering the pitch and tempo, she adds an additional layer to the piece. With her own vocals and an AI generated track layered once over again, it creates this nigh euphoric and elevating experience while listening. It’s hypnotic and bewitching all at once, a powerful cry for help garbed in the mystique of production that takes you down a journey of introspection that might lead to an existential crisis by the end of it.
