With some of the smoothest guitar licks you’re going to hear accompanied by a beat and groove that’s irresistibly slick, Cry Baby Purple have you in the best of spirits on their funky piece “Mr. Know It All”. The Dublin based outfit bring out so much suaveness on this record, an ever so lackadaisical energy that’s got you bopping your head unconsciously from the first note of that guitar. With such unadulterated fun and a devil may care attitude, Cry Baby Purple do so much with so little.
There are few bands that are able to be so fun without being so over the top with their arrangements but “Mr. Know It All” is a pitch perfect example of a track that excels with restraint and slickness over all else. This is vibes, just perfect vibes.
