On ‘The Twist to the Glitch’, the Denver based artist truly unravels a flourish of artful brilliance into an escapist fantasy that completely immerses you from its visual storytelling to its aural hypnotism. With non-linear approaches and narratives being front and centre of her ethos, it’s clear that her artistic style also finds itself working best off the conventional routes and established parameters. It’s a fast paced, up-tempo, and groovy piece of music you can easily dance to. But there’s also something underlying that style, a more grounded emotional ethos that comes resplendent as you go through the motions.
I can’t quite describe the kind of feeling this record evokes. It’s so thoroughly unique in its conception and so strangely open in its vulnerability yet so opulent and fun in its sound. Give it a listen and find yourself hitting replay again and again.
