Dominic Romano’s latest indie-folk single, “Framework,” marks the inaugural collaboration between Romano and artist-producer Tall Acre. An enchanting track, Framework delves into the enduring power of love and the beauty of building a life together, all captured within a smart metaphor of constructing a new house.
The entire production process was done remotely from Dominic’s studio in Northern California to Tall Acre’s studio in the UK. Each of them contributed, working remotely over video calls, to add and iterate until the final diamond of a folk tune was brought to life. When two producers and writers are put together, the collaborative result is truly a spectacle.
It is quite truly a beautifully performed and poignantly eloquent tune. The hopeful vocal melodies intertwine seamlessly with charmingly distinct folk strings, creating a sound that is effortlessly warm and inviting. The song’s narrative is rich with imagery, painting a vivid picture of love’s journey and the significance of every step in building a shared life.
The production combining with the lyrical sincerity adding depth gives it such a powerful emotional core. The result is a harmonious blend that highlights the strengths of both artists, and their depth of ability as folk artists in particular.
Dominic Romano & Tall Acre’s relatable themes, poignant production, and ease of performance make “Framework” one of my favourite folk releases all year.
