Echo Coast never fail to disappoint with their saucy brand of pure thorough and audaciously psychedelic punk rock music. James Hobbs has a knack for getting as wacky and experimental as he chooses to be so. However, ‘Drinkin’ in Berlin’ is far more energetic and hilarious than the regular tunes. It’s got a style to it, an energy that throws you back to days of drinking and the crashing hangovers that fall out after. He’s got a britpop energy combined with a more gritty garage backing instrumentation that makes for an absolute roller coaster ride of a tune.
You’re completely drawn in to the excitement and verve that Echo Coast bring out. It’s pure bred rock n’ roll, anti-establishment, anti-boredom, and pro energy in every which way. The licks and riff that hit right after ‘don’t check my bloodstream, don’t call the feds’ give the song a uniquely delectable melody to remember.
