With a driving and explosive riff, a verse that bounces back forth, and a chorus that comes crashing down like an avalanche, ‘Rough Diamond’ is an infectiously groovy piece of classic rock that is avowedly anthemic from top to bottom. It’s rock and roll through and through, a pounding drum section with an equally thunderous chorus that has you yelling alongside at the top of your lungs. There’s a a bit o funk also thrown in to make it hit all that much more harder. Electric High are all about the peaks, all about hitting the aggressive and off the wall rock energy that you’re yearning to relive from the heydays of the genre.
It continually races from highs and lows, almost replicating the arduous and rocky lifestyle and landscape of uncovering a diamond itself. It’s finale is frantic, almost ecstatic in its tone and energy to the point where you can’t help but be reeled into that frenetic energy.
