The ever so frolicking energy and authentic bluegrass and folk expression that Eliza Mary Doyle sets you in the mood for from the onset of the first set of chords on “7 Dude Ranch”, it’s clear that you’re getting some heartland music, authentically expressed Americana through bluegrass folk arrangements. Her vocals, carrying that distinctive drawl and melody, just add so much depth as she sings “you can have it all“. If you’re a fan of bluegrass, Americana, or folk, this is bound to be a gripping record.

There’s something that’s quite clearly trained within her, something that showcases not just her own innate love for this sound but her meticulous ability to evoke feelings through these arrangements. While I don’t often find myself playing full bluegrass records from end to end, Doyle’s completely changed that for me.
