Hailing from Prague but following his dreams in London, Faana is a soulful singer-songwriter who has a knack for penning addictive chorus lines and groovy riffs. His first single after signing to his new label Marquee Records, ‘Stop Running’ is a cheery and uplifting indie rock tune that delivers a message of reassurance and peace. Written for his neighbouring country Ukraine, Faana envisioned the song as an ode to those fleeing the country and finding solace in peaceful lands. The guitar solo delivered aroudn the two and a half minute mark gives the entire track an additional layer of swagger and pomp that’s slick and hard.
But it’s really in Faana’s delightfully catchy chorus line that you find yourself in love with ‘Stop Running’. It’s a by the numbers but perfectly executed indie pop rock tune that oozes with soul and splendour.
