‘Comin’ Back For You’ feels partially ominous and foreboding but also the kind of jingling rock and roll you’d want to sing along to. The dark country and blues sound that these Brisbane rockers have put together isn’t really replicated or found in many other places. They kickstart ‘Comin’ Back For You’ with the same tenacity, intensity, and pulse that the song lives on for its runtime. It doesn’t spare time getting straight to the meat, instantly pulling you into its pulse through an ever so engaging and energised riff that runs constant and throughout. But it’s when the solo hits around the two minute mark that the more explicit hard rock elements start to sheen through. You’re singing along with that chorus line with a vengeful glee almost as the song winds up.
Strangely ominous, yet wholly addictive, it’s a short and succinct banger of a rock tune.
