Indoor Friends bring out a powerful and punchy brand of alternative rock that’s raucous, exciting, and still decidedly infectious on ‘Finally Enough’. The clear punk energy of the Boston based outfit is just a sheer delight to experience, clearly feeling that same angst and raw unfiltered and unfettered expression on ‘Finally Enough’ just has you really thinking back to all those moments where we feel like we’re failing to live up to expectations that other relationships we hold onto are setting onto ourselves. In a departure from the norm, the lyricist and lead singer on this particular song is Krista, normally the backing vocalist for the group.
Coming from someone who grew up listening to punk rock groups of the early 00s and 90s, that same raw and riveting expression, the edge that the instrumental arrangements brought to life, and that emotional core is often sorely lacking in the more watered down mainstream pop-punk resurgence of today. Indoor Friends are having none of that, sticking to their authentic selves without a worry in the world.
