FLYEST feels like a celebration, an opulent larger than life hip-hop and afrobeat combination that’s loud, punchy, and exciting from back to front. Straight out of Addison, Jumbok Jay’s loud and addictive chorus line is impossible to get out of your head, despite its slightly abrasive come down. It’s deliciously fun, the kind of repetitive but infectious flow that you find hard to forget. The arrangement and production is also markedly different from what you’d come to expect from a traditional hip-hop record of the 2020s, filled with just a whole lot more intrigue and unique elements.
