The latest single from their upcoming album, ‘Everything We Had’ is a cacophonic, euphoric, and meldoic experimental extravaganza that completely captivates you. This Chicago based outfit are unafraid to work outside conventional boundaries, completely undeterred from delving into the unexplored and veer far away from the domestic. Their are industrial sounds interspersed with synths, lyrics that echo pain and emotion amidst the chaos of it all. It’s a magical ride that I can’t quite do justice for by words alone. That continually howling single synth far in the background, the almost faded out vocals that birth new energy, and the continually pulsating drum section combine for an experience that’s truly breath taking.
‘Everything We Had’ is a hypnotic piece of experimental rock. The closest parallel I could draw would be to a group like The War on Drugs but even that doesn’t do true justice to the style that these guys have. It’s a whirlwind you have to surrender yourself to.
