The seamless pop rock indie blend from this Irish outfit easily moves from a place of anthemic alternative rock to a much more groovy piece of definitive indie. There’s a riveting energy to the song, powering through its three minute run time that keeps you constantly hooked to its unwavering momentum. Sonically, it’s very much aligned to what the song itself is about from a conceptual stand point. It’s all about literally picking yourself up, standing up despite the odds, and setting out to accomplish what you need to do even when the conditions might be awfully adverse.
With a clear multi-talented instrumental assembly amongst the trio, Left on Read are bound to take the indie rock scene with a charge. Few songs are going to be as much of a pick me up this year as this banger.
