Guided by a drive to create music organically, with an authenticity and indigenous that’s carved completely on their won, Little Fuss bring a euphoric and raw sincerity to their brand of synth driven indie pop. Entirely self produced and recorded in a Boston apartment, ‘Dear Aria’ is in many ways a distillation of this foundational sound. It maintains that core essence, categorised by ethereal and dreamy soundscapes that elevate into a floating atmospheric feeling. For a bedroom recorded record, it sounds far better than most studio recordings.
Olivia Martinez’s vocals are deeply expressive, cascading smoothly over Cody Von Lehmden’s production. Theirs a wistful and whimsical approach to the lyrics, while the production is ambitious and grandiose in scale. The song is based around miscommunication, and the constant rerunning of a conversation when you feel misunderstood. ‘Don’t make a mess of my intentions, before we end it I should mention’. It’s a magical piece of indie pop to lose yourself to.
