Building with a tension and anticipation that kickstarts from the very first lines, “sorry.x” doesn’t take too much time to grip your attention. From the gradual growth in the drum pattern to the eventual first crash of the arrangement, Louis And The Shakes hit you with a full-throttle alternative rock banger that never fails to captivate, invigorate, and hit you with an energy that’s immediately intoxicating. The London based rock outfit don’t veer too far away from convention, but they do what makes the genre work so so very well. It sits on a chorus that’s as catchy as they come by, inviting you with an opening slate that’s hard to distract yourself away from, and closing with an interlude that gives you a moment reprieve before it comes crashing down one last time for a crescendo that’s cathartic as hell.
Expressive, emotive, and ridiculously high energy, “sorry.x” is a way to let loose a whole lot of pent up frustration without a care in the world.
