Mishkin Fitzgerald & The Chemical Perils are a new band with a unique blend of influences ranging from Nick Cave and Kate Bush to Devil Makes Three and The Veils. Their debut single, “Legs Broken,” is a stand-out track from their upcoming EP, “Graces Cradle,” which is set to be released on January 28th, 2023.
According to Mishkin, the song is a cathartic and fun exploration of revenge, channelling negative emotions into a danceable gypsy-punk track. “Legs Broken” is a warning not to cross a songwriter, as you might find yourself memorialised in a song for all the wrong reasons. It’s quite tongue in cheek in that sense, but also in a playful yet fun way despite an overarching soundscape that feels at times a tad bit unnerving.
With a talented group of musicians and a diverse range of influences, Mishkin Fitzgerald & The Chemical Perils are a band to watch out for. “Legs Broken” and the rest of the “Graces Cradle” EP are sure to be must-listen releases for fans of alternative and indie music.
