Nicholas Langdon’s intriguing double track debut release shows two sides of the coin for this diverse and multi-faceted Preston based artist. Beginning with a slightly more up-tempo and inherently nostalgic piece ‘Show Me What You Live For’ is the kind of anthemic, sing at the top of your lungs indie rock joyous piece that has you relishing everything there is to live for. It’s the kind of uplifting and spirited piece that has you finding your feet in the darkness.
However, on the flip side, ‘She Wants Somebody Else’ takes a much more morose and melancholic approach both in its lyrics and in its sound. Depicting the demise of a long relationship, Langdon, takes a slower and more depressive sound that concludes this two track release in a way that highlights the full breadth of styles and emotions he can convey.
A name in the indie scene to watch out for.
