Nick Catoire has a voice that feels like it belongs on the top charts. The subtle melodies, the aching twang as he holds a note, and the way he’s able to so effortlessly glide over his acoustic riffs sound like someone made for the stage. On ‘SHINE’, the New York City based singer-songwriter is at his most expressive best. He’s easily floating across melodies from folk, modern pop, and even a bit of soul thrown in to the mix. It wouldn’t at all surprise me to see Nick Catoire start climbing the top 40 in the months to come. There’s something so easy-going to his voice, a kind of nonchalance in the way he sings that makes it seem as though he was born for it. He’s got a special kind of melodic mellifluous note that draws in pretty much any one.
