The first piece off his surrealist experimental electronic fantastical experience, Phidippus sends you into the depths of an introspective journey on “Darkness”. Combining elements of industrial bits and pieces with a more serene and soothing backdrop of electronic undercurrents, “Darkness” utilises the harmonic and blissful vocals of Jane Doe alongside Phidippus’s own eclectic and frenzied style of unhinged yet entirely well structured and puzzled out D&B electronic approach, there’s a method to the madness on “Darkness”.
Having had a storied career that’s seen him enter recording rooms with some of the greats, and also undertake a slew of exciting and innovative projects, Eric Salazar has had a storied career few can claim to have undergone. Under his new moniker of Phidippus, he’s breaking more boundaries with a style of unfettered and empowering electronic styles that are as out there as they are easy to listen to.
