With a riff that’s one of the most interestingly composed I’ve recently come across, Rick Lee Vinson Group showcase a new rendition of modern country rock music on the aptly titled yet achingly long named “The Ballad of Stuff That Never Broke My Heart”. The lyrics follow the trend of what makes a country song so classic, endearing and relatable and delivered with a sincerity and simplicity that gives it that much more punch and pizzaz. Rick Lee Vinson Group is thoroughly entertaining on this track, a joyful and rather casual song about well — the stuff that never broke his heart. It’s fun, it’s cheeky, and it’s somehow still keenly emotive through it all.
