Building with pomp, loaded with luscious production, and performed with a lustrous and crisp vocal performance all around, Rya Park’s ‘Everything We Want’ is a delectably melodic piece of rock pop that has you absolutely hooked. Roaring but never too boisterous or loud, Park treads the right kind of line for her listeners, expertly making something that’s the right kind of catchy while also being smooth enough to unwind to. It’s backed by an ever so attractive pop hook, guided by synths that elevate the entire thing, and effected by a hopeless romanticism that has you emotionally reeled in to the totality of the piece.
Indie rock done right, in every which way. Everything We Want is everything you could want.
