There’s something so innately filled with wonder and amazement on ‘IT’s Not Gone’. Opening with its slightly tension building yet quirky set of electronic beeps and bops, the song starts to flesh itself more and more as Ryan Flynn’s vocals start to enter the fray. The heavy processing on those vocals, coupled with the luscious and flowery production arrangement make for a futuristic sound that’s somehow deeply endearing. The entire song is about moving, about movement, about the outcomes of moving themselves. It feels like the beat itself is constantly shifting, moving dynamically from place to place as you start to go down a journey in your own head that takes you down various stages, milestones, and moments.
A wonderfully evocative piece of electronic pop that’s got bundles of heart hidden right beneath its rather futuristic and robotic exterior.
