See How’s debut project is an introduction into a producer who has a soundscape that’s wildly their own. The strange interpolation of hyper-pop elements with a blend of garage and hip-hop combine to create this singularity in the atmosphere that you can’t really relate or draw parallels to howsoever you try. It’s quirky, upbeat, and rather intoxicating through and through. The chorus, delivered with this laidback and lackadaisical flow still maintains a level of coolness and stature that just oozes and exudes swagger through and through.
“Can’t Be Me” is a breakup track, but not one that feels remorseful or melancholic whatsoever. It’s empowering in every which way, announcing to the world that that new person your ex dumped you for simply will never match up to who you are. So, if you’re feeling a bit annoyed or perturbed towards a relationship gone south, use this as your fix.
