With a remarkably well produced and shot video, Shilpa Ananth brings ‘The Search’ to life with a resplendence in colour and visuals that does its best to match the sheer opulence in the eclecticism of its audio. The decidedly different and artful pop tune from this ever so experimental Abu Dhabi based artist doesn’t veer too far off the deep end, but retains enough and more of a spark to keep it exhilaratingly exciting from back to front. When the beat drops with a pulsating smack around the second minute mark, it really starts to kick into a wholly new gear. It’s so raw and gritty in the core of its melody, but incredibly fleshed out and intricate in the level of detail that the mesh it sets up manages to evoke.
A genre-defying and sonic experience that’s as unique as it is enthralling, ‘The Search’ sees a pop artist breaking boundaries in the best ways possible.
