Solo electronic project Silver Carpet delivers a mesmerisingly warping and electrifying experience through minimalist yet flooded soundscapes on their EP “The Crying Tree”. There’s a dynamism to each track, a flourishing and flooring flurry of minutia in each arrangement that overwhelms and overcomes you with its pulse and melodic rhythm till you’re wholly immersed and engaged to the north star within. The six song EP consists of four full pieces and two shorts, really hitting its stride in the opening melody of Sea Glass Canticle itself. Other pieces find themselves more experimental and industrial even, offering something a bit more leftfield for listeners.
It’s an all around effervescent electronic project that showcases so much without needing to overdo it even once.
