AFUA is a song meant to capture the beauty of women from the African diaspora. The effervescent and warm instrumental piece from tdotostudios (Theo Davis) has such an addictive ring to it, a constant pitter patter and to and fro that has you intoxicated with its rhythm and beat. Written by a multi-instrumentalist who’s talents extend to the medical table as well, it’s a remarkably clear, meticulously mixed and mastered , and emotionally exuberant piece of instrumental music. There’s so much happening here, but it’s also never in your face with its sounds, opting instead for a relaxed and laidback subtlety just engrosses you even further.
In a sense, it’s an almost pioneered sound altogether. AFUA feels like lo-fi music mixed and brought together with afrobeat sounds to create a wholly new end product altogether. So lay back and let the good vibes take over wholeheartedly.
