The Spiritual Leaders bring something wholly different and unique to the indie electronic world. On ‘Shadows and Tall Trees’, you’re immediately reeled into this gripping hypnotic rhythm as the rather hypnotic vocal harmonies sink you further and further into this trance state that they’re so expertly able to curate. It feels like a mixture of so many styles, not wholly an EDM track but not truly an indie piece either. Lying as something in between, this Irish origin outfit are ready to take the indie space by storm with a penchant for melodies that are so wildly out there and seemingly leftfield. Yet, despite what may seem slightly obscure and wacky, slowly turns into something so immersive and intoxicating less than a few seconds in.
