Opening with an enthusiastic riff that screams a sense of indie nostalgia, The Tarrows hurl you into “Gunfighter” with one of the smoothest and most electric entrances I’ve heard. As it barrels down into the chorus, delivered with such swagger it must be said, you’re treated to the full gambit of what’s definitively bound to be one of the finest British indie rock outfits in the years to come. It’s melodic almost in its entirety, drawing the best out of influences from the 90s, early 00s, and even the majesty of the 80s as well. But it’s towards the songs blitzkrieg of a finish, “why you running away” wherein Gunfighter truly lets the bullets fly without care and an adulation for carnage. The fervour and furiousness with which the electric solo and drums come crashing in is a treat to behold and a mosh pit that comes out of nowhere.
An absolutely electrifying piece form an indie rock outfit to watch out for.
